В английском языке есть также прилагательные, которые могут употребляться и с суффиксами, и со словами more / the most, less / the least:
clever — more clever / cleverer — the most clever / the cleverest;
simple — more simple / simpler — the most simple / the simplest.
The street is the most narrow / the narrowest in the city. — Эта улица самая узкая в городе.
