Similar - looking or being almost, but not exactly, the same;
 
Risk - the possibility of something bad happening;
 
Turning point - the time at which a situation starts to change in an important way;
 
Average - the result you get by adding two or more amounts together and dividing the total by the number of amounts;
 
Worth of mention - to speak about something quickly, giving little detail or using few words;
 
Acceptable - satisfactory and able to be agreed to or approved of;
 
Mature - people behave like adults in a way that shows they are well developed emotionally;
 
Dependent - needing the support of something or someone in order to continue existing or operating;
 
Embody - to represent a quality or an idea exactly;
 
Sense - an ability to understand, recognize, value, or react to something, especially any of the five physical abilities to see, hear, smell, taste, and feel;
 
Deadly habit - something harmful that you do often and regularly;

Improve - to (cause something to) get better.
 
Examples:

The organization called the new regulations a turning point in the campaign against smoking.

My income's rather variable, but I earn £175 a day on average.

They have returned with a watered down and more acceptable version of the proposal.

He's very mature for his age.
