Some people think that a museum is a boring, dusty place. Well, they are definitely wrong. There are plenty of fascinating galleries and museums and they are crowded these days. People love museums because they expand our minds, help learn about our past and even give us some ideas about life in the future. Among the different kinds of museums there are anthropology, art, literary, military and many others.
There is the new generation of museums in the XXI century — interactive museums. The point is to use the opportunities of modern technologies to engage the visitors and make seeing exhibitions a unique experience for kids, teenagers and adults. For example, the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam organises a digital exhibition of the famous painter's works. Also there is a special museum game for kids — treasure hunt. Children have to answer the questions and do interesting tasks about the painter's life and works. After completing the game every kid is given a souvenir.
Museums tell us about the history of humankind using visual materials. People from different cultures can understand this language. Museums unite people and give us an opportunity to share unique cultural experiences. Art connects us with great creators of the past and the present and lets people know more about various cultures.
