There are national traditions and customs in every country. Probably nobody cherish their traditions as much as Britons. They are proud of their customs and respect them very much. There are some pretty formal ceremonies like Trooping the Colour or the Ceremony of the Keys.

Tourists in London often ask who the cavalrymen in scarlet uniform and metal helmets are. They are Life Guards, a ceremonial guard to the monarch.

Humid and mild British climate is good for plants, and Brits love gardening. A house with a small garden is a popular choice of household in the UK.
Also British people are very fond of pets. More than a half of adult Britons have a pet. Cats are almost as popular as dogs. The Queen herself loves her little corgis very much.

British culture is rich in traditions and customs, and it's especially noticeable during the holidays. Christmas, Hogmanay, New Year, Easter — all these holidays strengthen the bonds between people, between family and friends, and old British traditions help it.
